Fromat
The world’s frozen block cutter
With more than 2000 units sold, MAGURIT’s FROMAT series is probably the most often used frozen block cutter throughout the world. FROMAT includes all MAGURIT gravity fed frozen block guillotines. This means that the frozen raw material blocks by their own weight slide on the gradient surface of the machine frame towards the cutting tools where they are cut by a guillotine style blade set into smaller pieces, ideal for the further processing in grinder, bowl cutter, mixer or cooker etc. The cutting tools are hydraulically driven, and therefore always offer the adequate power to reduce the frozen blocks, also at very low temperatures of -20°C (-4°F).
The surface of the cut product is ideal for low humidity condensation, and therefore guillotine cutting is always advantageous if the product in the further process shall be dried, like cured sausage production, jams, etc.
Different available knife heads can be chosen for the ideal degree of reduction for each client’s application.
This series of very robust machines offers the proper solution for all capacities between 800 Kg/h (1750 lbs.) and 7.000Kg/h (15.400lbs).
Of course the machines comply with all local safety regulations and are extremely service and cleaning friendly.
Starcutter
The Magurit rotation cutter for frozen products
The MAGURIT STARCUTTER series is designed for a continuous reduction of frozen products, at very low temperatures and high volumes whilst still maintaining a high quality cut, especially suitable for further processing in bowl choppers, grinders or other downstream equipment. This is achieved by the unique blade design and cutting drum geometry, coupled with the integrated block hold down device and the unique block feeding system.
MAGURIT’s STARCUTTER series includes a variety of machine models and set ups, machines for all production capacities, machines for all common block sizes, blades for all possible cutting results, and additional equipment for all possibilities for production line integration.

Precut
For the reduction of large quantities of frozen materials with up to 25to (55.000 lbs.) per hour we offer the PRECUT 328 and 330. These machines are used in productions in which need continues capacities beyond 8to/h, or very high volumes in very short times in batch productions. The PRECUT 328 with 700 mm cutting width is designed for the reduction of standard EURO- or US-blocks, and also plate freezer blocks, while the PRECUT 330 with 1.480 mm cutting width can also reduce complete pallet layers. As peak performance for the PRECUT 328 our customers can calculate with 16to/h (35.000 lbs.), and for the PRECUT 330 with 25to/h (55.000 lbs.)
Unicut
UNICUT – UNIform CUTting – are the world’s most versatile and precise from block guillotines. Its uniqueness is the combination of a precise guillotine cut and feeding and down-holding device for the frozen blocks. Therewith the product to be cut is pushed continuously against the cutting tools while at the same time the block is held down, so it is stabilised before the cutting starts. And thereby the UNIform CUTting result is achieved.
UNICUT are always of good use if raw materials, that do not slide on stainless steel, e.g. sweets or dairy products, are to be reduced. Here the feeding ram – down holder system make the difference.
Dicecut
MAGURIT’s DICECUT® 502 and 506 are the synonym for precise cutting of frozen meat products into cubes and strips: An long term precise tempering is no longer needed , saving 2 – 8% of drip loss, reduces energy costs for re-freezing of the cut product, and gains a lot of time in the total process, meaning a lot of savings. And last but not least, also the microbiological growth is tremendously reduced.
With maximum accepted block sizes of 420x240x900 mm (16 ½“x 9 ½“x 35“) for the DICECUT® 502 respectively. 630 x 240 x 1100 mm (24 ¾“ x 9 ½“ x 43 ¼“) for the DICECUT®506 all commonly used EURO- or US- blocks can be used, without the necessity of pre-cutting or deformation of the product as chamber systems work. The machines can be operated by a single person, or also integrated in fully automatic lines, incl. product in-feed and packaging for the cut product.
Galan
The most gentle way to cut fresh products
The meaning of the word GALAN in English is „gentle“, and describes the way the machine is treating the product while cutting. With the GALAN fresh, tumbled, crust frozen, and cooked products can be cut into slices, strips, and dices, from meat, poultry, fish or fruit, and also some dairy products. As said, these machines treat the product gently, and this is done first of all by the pressure adjustable belt feeding system, where two parallel belts feed continuously the product towards the blades. The product is not deformed before the blades cut as it often happens in chamber systems. Since the pressure is adjustable also very fragile products are not put under any pressure (e.g. marinated chicken breast). The cutting action of both the scimitar blades and the circular blades are pulling cuts, and therefore very precise. For improved hygiene almost all surfaces of the machine are angled so that water and detergents can easily rinse of, the feeding belts are pneumatically positioned and can be released and disassembled by only a push of a button, and the whole cutting area is kept closed with only one locking pin. Once released, the whole cutting area can be widely opened and easily be cleaned, reducing down time for cleaning and according costs tremendously.
